Doonbeg Victorious at Tommy Power Memorial Tournament

Our U11 team took part in this years Tommy Power Memorial. It proved to be a very successful day out for out team as the came out as competition winners.
In the first game Doonbeg played Kilrush and won 3-1 to 1-1. They then played Killimer and emerged victorious 3-3 to 2-4.

This qualified Doonbeg for the final where to took on Naomh Eoin/O'Currys who has also won both games. Doonbeg played with the breeze in the first half and led 3-2 to 1-1. In the second half Doonbeg withstood a strong comeback from Naomh Eoin/O Curry's and they ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-4 to 2-1.

Well done to the team and their mentors. This continues a good year for underage success!
