Doonbeg Football Club were saddened at the news of the passing of the late James Cahill, Clohanes. James was involved with our club for many years, and was one of only a handful of select players who played for he club Doonbeg, county Clare, and provience Munster. He was a great supporter of the club and will forever be remembered as a gentleman on and off the field.

We extend our condolences to his family and friends and in particular to our club secretary Donal, James's son.

As a mark of respect , the Garry Cup game between Doonbeg and Kilmihil has been postponed and now will take place this Sunday @12.

There will be a guard of honour at 4.30pm at the church Doonbeg. We would ask all club members to were the club colours for the guard of honour.

Funeral arrangements as follows:

Reposing at the Church of Our Lady Assumed Into Heaven, Doonbeg on Friday evening from 5pm with prayers at 7pm.

Funeral mass on Saturday at 2pm with burial afterwards in Clohanes Cemetery.

May he rest in peace.
